Fall on the east coast is special. Crisp air, foliage, and the collective embrace of the shifting of seasons. Autumn in Wyoming is special too—different, with the first snowfall blanketing the high peaks and sub-freezing mornings giving you a taste of what’s coming—but, the east coast … its just got something.
So, we made the trip. From Boston to NYC, this was part work, part sharing valuable time with family and friends, and part inspiration.
The first stop was Wenham, Mass., a quaint, close-knit New England town that’s home to the oldest continuously running tea house in America. It’s also home to The Copper Shed, a well-curated, women’s boutique owned by our good friend Cai-Cai. She was opening a new store called The Shed Home in the neighboring town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, so we took the opportunity to celebrate this and the launch of 3BIRD in the new space. The Shed Home blends home, dog, and a handpicked line-up of men’s lifestyle apparel. We loved supporting our newest and most recent retail partner on the east coast, and we were not only there to reconnect with friends and family, but also toast the arrival of our wears to the North Shore.

From stories to laughs to almost selling out of our Woolie Shacket, the opening party was exactly the way we like to engage with our partners. The personal connections and shared moments are invaluable to us when it comes to starting to grow a new, young brand, and having the right people and support in the process goes beyond words. If you’re in the area, pop into the shop and check out the amazing job Cai-Cai and her team have done in creating a unique shopping experience.
From here we headed south to the Big Apple. The uptick in pace had us moving fast through the bustle of midtown where the buzz of daily life doesn’t stop. The focus of our 72-hours in the city was to introduce 3BIRD to more than 80 media—most for the first time. Hosted by our friends at Rendezvous Events, the showroom scene featured a couple dozen brands showcasing their new products.

The media in NYC are always on deadline, so connecting and getting your message across had to be quick, on-point, and memorable—not dissimilar to speed-dating! After 10 hours of standing and talking, the big takeaways for us were: every conversation teemed with genuine interest and excitement of what 3BIRD represents, a product collection that’s well-designed and refreshing, and a brand ethos that’s inviting and relatable.
Fall on the east coast is special … and we captured some of that and brought it with us back to Wyoming.
